Greg,
I got an error message on the 6TH STW Reverb.
I then went to optimize and it offloaded the entire mixer only leaving the DAS Mixer on the DSP chips.
It even made the DAS mixer jump from the old DSP chips over to the ADSP 21369's.
I personally would personally bail from the 4896 as it showed no DSP usage on my meters which I find rather odd.
Thats probably why it offloaded on the 6th verb.
I would try a 2448 and submix 10 x stereo tracks that might share similar effects like small spaces, medium room, etc. And pipe those into the 2448. The DAS mixers are cool because they can load on the old DSP chips and stay there, well until a DSP optimization happens, then the DSP power gets all spread about.
I would use the Micromixer since it can submix the 10 stereo channels, and also the mono channel I saw. Run the Micro into STM2448 channel 24 L & R, and the 23 other stereo channels would cover whats left.
Do that first. Always load the DAS mixer last as it will go right to the old chips.
Otherwise after an optimization it jumps over to the new chips and might cause havoc.
I will go and check the FP106X in 2 hours.
I have to keep my sweetie fat and fed first.
SOme CHinese food for a little trim is a good deal.
As long as she doesn't cook I'm OK.
The bitch can't even boil water.............

CiaoMEin.

Jimmy Vegas, thanks for the recommendations.

If/when you have time, why don't you just build out of what I started (or rip out stuff), and see how close to the DSP ceiling you can get, and then I can see what happens when I try to load it on my new system.

Looking forward to seeing the FP project.

I'm thinkin' something salmon.... ;)

I will have to brush my teeth with Nair since I have had excessive helpings of hair pie...........ankyu.
Yes I will re build from scratch and see what I can get.
Your project window size is huge.
That's from using the Matrox card and 3 displays 'eh?
Anyways 2 x STM2448's barely shows up on the DSP meters. I wish the AUX's were like Mehdi's but for live work the difference can be compenstaed for by seperating the speakers a couple more feet maybe. His AUX's w/ bleedover and seperate gains keep the nasty audio multiplication from several AUX's to a minimum. Eric's 32 x 8 seems to be an in between solution w/ it's 6 x AUX's. It lacks bleedover but is true stereo, and the STM's are psuedo stereo.
A mixer for every gig.
Check back tomorrow.

Yeah, I was going to try to expand the FP project I sent, and swap in the 32X8 instead of the 4896, but didn't get around to it.
Notice where I'm going on the project with 4 Modulars and synths

Thanks, and don't forget the mouthwash.

Greg

p.s. are there any women here yet?
