I'm getting to grips with VSTiM mode - so far no problems. I'll post a report on it as soon as I've finished. Until then, I need your help on figuring out how I can make dll files of third party devices such as Adern's and SpaceF, for example.

Any ideas?

I've worked it out.

Just copy an existing dll for the same type of plugin (synth, stereo effect, etc) and then rename it to exactly the same name as the device you need.

I did have problems with Sonar 8.5 detecting the plugins - it needed a reinstall for it to work but Cubase 5.1 had no problems.

Thanks!

To be honest, I've only very recently gotten into Scope so my traditional workflow has very much been centred around the DAW software. I've adapted pretty well to the 'Standard' mode of Scope and have enjoyed it's flexibility. But what I've gained in flexibility I've lost in speed and convenience - automation being the big one.

Using VSTiM is like 'coming home' to the old way of working even though it has it's drawbacks. I don't know how to get the Modular working in VSTiM working, yet. The Modular is one of the biggest strengths of Scope - so not being able to use it is like tying one hand behind your back. I did notice a howto over at Adern's forum but although you can use a Modular patch in VSTiM (or XTC as it was when it was written), it cannot be tweaked which is one of the main points of using a modular.

It's all a learning process at the moment and I'm sure there will be good reasons for using one mode over the other. I just don't know all the possibilities yet.

I would like to know what this Module does as a .dll file.
Anyone figure out this yet?

Looks like a clock module for tempo-syncing the VST host (i.e. Reaper) with Scope sequencers, etc. inside the host.
Try plugging it into your host and then see what Scope does with it. ;)
